Friday the 21st of July we invite you to celebrate the launch our new offical website!
Since 2015, The Basement Gallery has transitioned to a once tiny dream now a fruition. The website is a new face to the gallery, streamlining our communication with artists and gallery patrons. It will also be the catalyst for our artist call out campaign Cause a Scene - inviting emerging artists to exhibit in our new gallery space.
Cause a Scene is an exhibit with a bit of a twist. Instead of a normal wall by wall collection of work, selected artists will instead be creating artwork LIVE in the space.
We begin on opening night, (21st) 5pm - 8pm. Our artists will start work on their piece / with any medium they desire. We invite you to discuss, or simply to watch. There will be wine and music, and our flashy new website for sign ups.
The event will be running for 2 weeks so you may visit them during gallery hours and watch their vision come to fruition.
That tiny dream becoming something much much bigger.
On the 4th of August will be hosting a closing night from 5pm - 8pm. The finalised works will be up for sale.
We will also have our exhibiting proposal forms available. If you’re an artist and interested in exhibiting, come on down and check us out.
